ABSS Solutions, Inc. is recruiting FAA and DoD Air Traffic Control Specialist with Terminal or Enroute experience to work as a consultant supporting Air Traffic Policy and Procedurwith our FAA client in Washington DC.

Job description:

  • Responsible for the analysis, development, review and coordinating of procedures for operational needs and requirements and planning from a national and international air traffic control operational policy and management perspective.
  • Prepare drafts of operational concepts, mission need statements, requirements documents to support the review, development and implementation of new and/or revised systems and equipment to be utilized for oceanic operational controllers.
  • Provide ATC technical analysis and support for procedures development, other functional responsibilities related to new or revised systems, equipment, or software.
  • Review, analyze, and document the development and implementation of new or revised procedures, separation standards, equipment, software, and other operations related activities.
  • Prepare document change proposals, white papers, briefing packages, charts and graphs and presentation materials as needed.
  • Provide FAA support both with internal and external agencies in various discussions, meetings, and briefings.

Requirements

  • Air Traffic Control Specialist in the Oceanic/Offshore Air Traffic domain with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
  • Air Traffic Experience with one or more of the following Air Traffic domains: Enroute, TBFM and UAS.
  • DoD Air Traffic Control Experience. Terms and Instrument Flight Procedure development is helpful but not required.
  • Experience involving the relationship of operational trends, traffic volume and/or system outages and then develop into operational concepts and/or procedural changes with specific recommendations for system/operations enhancements.
  • Experience with National Airspace Systems Services involving the oceanic/offshore, and international service environments inclusive of airspace, operations and procedures/processes.
  • Knowledge of oceanic/offshore and international air traffic control automation, communication, navigation, and surveillance systems.
  • Able to work with varying levels of FAA senior executive and officials, internal and external to FAA, such as ICAO and other industry leaders.
