SMTS PRODUCT ENGINEER

THE ROLE:

Our team works on characterizing new products in AMD's adaptive and embedded lines. The candidate will be responsible for leading the team in programmable logic and interconnect performance characterization. This involves working closely with foundry and technology engineers and performance modeling teams to find the best transistor targeting to balance speed and power. And it involves deep data analysis to use small sets of imperfect data to interpret reality and predict effects of changes.t

THE PERSON:

The candidate should have a strong analytic mind with a sense of leadership to guide cross functional team members to make the best decisions with imperfect data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead team in characterization strategies for programmable logic and interconnect
• Understand the relationship between foundry process and product performance
• Automate analysis of manufacturing performance data to report on yields
• Improve silicon performance models with intelligent designs and advanced test techniques
• Communicate across multiple geographies to plan, design, measure, and tune timing models

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Logic/FPGA design
• Static timing analysis

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS or MS in EE/CE or related equivalent field
