The OT Services Applications Support Specialist is responsible to provide direct support for applications as used in support of Fugros business. They will primarily focus on the development and support of containerized solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists the Applications Architect, to ensure smooth integration and delivery of new applications, particularly Linux-based and containerized solutions.
• Works closely with the OT Services Support Manager and team to provide support for applications within the OT Services Support Team.
• Coordinates support activities with applications suppliers, both internal and external vendors, where necessary.
• Liaison with the Deployment team to ensure the required level of support is provided for new initiatives and installations.
• Provides support and expertise in the use of applications for Fugro operational technology.
• Receives escalations from support teams, Monitors systems, and handles alerts according to the procedure, or escalates further.
• Implements standard solutions and completes standard tasks according to instruction;
• Do periodic system maintenance tasks and reports on these, including backup and standard, restore tasks.
• Assists with project preparations in support of the deployment team when required.
• Assists with vendor assessment for new applications and testing of new products.
• Identifies areas of improvement regarding the use of applications and proposes solutions to the applications architect.
• Supports cyber security initiatives and ensures awareness of regulatory requirements for cyber security.
• Demonstrated experience with administration of one or more Linux distributions.

Job Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Possess a Technical Degree in Information Technology or a related subject.
• Have 3 or more years of experience in enterprise application and infrastructure environment, network topologies, dynamic routing, IP addressing, and Ethernet networks.
• Have experience with containerized environments (Docker / Kubernetes, etc)
• Have technical basic administration of one or more Linux distributions.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience in scripting/automation technologies.
• Process-driven has attention to detail and is well organized.
• Experience with the following is BASH or Python Scripting, Ansible, Rancher, Kubernetes, a plus.
• ITIL Certificate a plus
