Job Description

Bristow is currently accepting qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant, Lease Accounting. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager Shared Services, Accounting, will be responsible for the delivery of the end to end lease accounting process. This includes the defined Lease Accounting processes and actively working with business/functional representatives for global regions and other interconnected processes.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Tasks

  • Coordinate the collection of all third party and intercompany global lease agreements including modifications of existing agreements

  • Liaise with third party lease admin vendor

  • Review accuracy of lease details in lease tool

  • Responsible for the reconciliation of lease accounting data from lease tool into ERP system including balance sheet and income statement journal entries, validates completeness in the lease accounting process

  • Develops and maintains management reporting and develops KPIs where required

  • Prepares and maintains quarterly and annual lease accounting reporting packages to support external reporting requirements under US GAAP and IFRS

  • Coordinates interaction with internal and external audit for lease accounting

  • Drives lease updates from Bristow including but not limited to procurement, supply chain, accounts payable, accounting, and treasury to continually identify and employ process improvements to the end-to-end lease accounting process

  • Develop and maintain controls related to the end-to-end lease accounting process

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required;

  • Big 4 experience preferred;

  • Experience with ASC 842 and IFRS 16 Lease Accounting

  • At least five to ten years of experience

  • Possess and maintain working knowledge of U.S. GAAP;

  • Excellent workload prioritization, time management, and attention to deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global matrix environment with proven capability to gain commitment and coordinated action for initiatives, including maintaining effective working relationships across the company;

  • Experience and knowledge in SEC reporting and/or SOX requirements required.

Skills

  • Ability to successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and work independently;

  • Highly collaborative, works with all stakeholders to deliver results and keep others informed;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Experience with internal controls and SOX requirements;

  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems / applications (i.e. SAP, Hyperion, Smartview) with multi-currency translation

  • Strong computer literacy including MS office products;

  • Operates at the highest standards of business ethics, honesty, and personal integrity
