The Opportunity:

The College of Aviation at the Prescott, Arizona campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Safety Sciences. This position is in support of our M.S. degree in Safety Science - occupational safety track.

The selected candidate will be expected to develop instructional content and teach an in-person graduate course within the subject of industrial hygiene and environmental protection; adjunct faculty also assess the performance of their students. The course will be offered in the spring academic semester, beginning in Spring 2023. The selected candidate will have access to department laboratory spaces and the associated instruments.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Prescott, Arizona campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow's aviation, aerospace, security and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80F in the summer and 45F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national forests. The university is a small, private, residential university in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students. Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.

The selected candidate must have at least a Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, Safety Science, or a closely related discipline; a PhD and teaching experience are preferred.Industry certifications such as CIH, CSP, ASP, CISM, or similar are desired.
