SUMMARY

NextGen America is seeking Social Media Influencer Program interns to join our remote summer internship program, with a possibility of extension to our fall program. This internship is not limited to college seniors or recent graduates. We also invite and encourage experienced professionals who may be looking for a career change to apply.

This position will be part-time with an expected commitment of 25 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Influencer Program interns will be responsible for developing and executing NextGen's micro-influencer program to motivate and mobilize young people to vote in the 2022 election. They will:

• Identify high-engagement micro-influencers across multiple social media platforms
• Build and maintain influencer relationships
• Handle messaging correspondence with a wide range of influencers
• Track all collaborations across assigned social media platforms
• Track and reports campaign stats, program progress, and performance of influencer posts
• Identify and jump on viral trends

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for progressive change & possesses the following:

• Understanding of Google suite, particularly in Sheets
• An in-depth understanding of social platforms, especially Instagram and/or TikTok
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn both technical and non-technical skills
• Creative, out-of-the-box thinking. Extremely savvy with social media and comfortable participating in content creation
• Strong writing and proofreading skills, close attention to detail
• Ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines
• Experience with any of the following would be a plus:
  • Political campaign experience
  • Recruitment/commission sales experience
  • Experience with political data, modeling and experiments

COMPENSATION:

NextGen America Interns are part-time, temporary employees with a set pay rate of $20/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.
