Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and motivated technical business development professional to build and execute the Go-To-Market plan for the Connected Product vertical (aka OEM). IoT (the Internet of Things) empowers invention of new consumer products and experiences, industrial operations to modernize, and governments to tackle problems in infrastructure, health, and the environment. This role is a member of the Worldwide IoT & Robotics Partner team that focuses on incubating, building and scaling partners to help customers connect the physical and digital worlds with AWS IoT. AWS IoT provides broad and deep functionality, spanning robotics, the edge and the cloud, empowering customers to build IoT solutions for virtually any use case. We simplify connecting to fleets of devices and securely collecting, inexpensively storing, and effectively analyzing device data to generate meaningful insights to transform their businesses.

This role is in the IoT and Robotics Partner Team and in this role, you will play a key role in developing and executing GTM motions with partners for the Connected Product vertical. As the Partner Lead, your responsibilities will focus on driving adoption of AWS IoT, AWS KVS and other related services (Edge, ML/AI etc.) by owning the partner strategy and execution. Be the subject-matter expert (SME) for a range of partner solutions spanning Connected Home and Enterprise Security verticals.


Key job responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

* Identify customer needs, market segments, use-cases and priority partners
* Build and leverage executive relationship with market-making partners in Connected Home and Enterprise Security segments to position AWS IoT and Amazon KVS and drive a partner-led GTM motion
* Develop a strategic business development plan for target markets to support AWS strategic direction. This includes the creation of go-to-market plans to track partner progress and achievement of joint business goals
* Understand the technical requirements of each partner and work closely with the internal AWS development team to guide the direction of our product offerings
* Be a thought leader and represent AWS in industry events

* Virtual Role, located near to an office or major city is preferable*

The right candidate will possess 10+ years of business development experience in the technology/cloud services industry, with proven ability to build technology partnerships in the Connected Home and Enterprise Security market segments with direct experience in these segments.
* Expertise with partners in delivering successful joint solutions to market
* Deep familiarity with cloud and edge computing products, services, market positioning and sales strategies
* Ability to create and meet joint solution and GTM strategies and tactical plans.
* Consistently exceed key performance metrics.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
Computer Science background
MBA
Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
Strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive edge computing technologies and operating systems.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
An understanding of key IoT, video streaming concepts and technologies, especially at the edge is required.
Experience building Go-To-Market plans that scale across an organization
Experience with sales enablement activities
Track record of closing high value and high profile deals
The ideal candidate will have a background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the executive level, as well as a technical background to work with both our engineering teams and customers building solutions with our tools.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $147,900 - 200,100 per year; however,
base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of
the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or
other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided
per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market
