Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team remotely. In this highly visible role, the analyst will work with various functions across MT and the broader HII.



What you will do:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze monthly financial performance for Mission Technologies.
  • Generatereports that track financial metrics, compare actuals against plan, forecast, analyze variances, etc.
  • Developfinancial models and analyses to support the team's functions of reporting, budgeting, and strategic analyses.
  • Coordinatewith BU finance staff, entity and division accounting staff and project control staff to understand and consolidate entity performance reporting and variance explanations.
  • Create the consolidated annual AOP and periodic forecast for the entity through operating margin leveraging input form the BUs and accounting organization.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement in existing processes, procedures, reporting and financial presentation packages.
  • Partner with larger Mission Technology finance team to standardize reports and implement process improvements.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Oversee day-to-day operation
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Motivate team members
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching
  • Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts



What you must have

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field preferably Finance or Accounting. 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field.

  • Prior experience working in corporate finance, preferably for a government contracting company.
  • Understandcorporate finance functions including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, etc.
  • Strong financial systems acumen.
  • Understandgovernment contracting and different contract types used in government contracting.
  • UnderstandFinancial Statements (IS, BS, CF) and financial metrics that are used to evaluate financial performance.
  • Work independently and with extended teams.
  • Analytical mind, comfort with presenting to C-suite.0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills



Bonus Points for

  • Master's degree a plus.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and public company financial cycle will be desirable.
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, OneStream, SAP SAC, Central Finance highly desirable
