Job Description
This position provides an opportunity to develop and maintain user application (UA) command software for NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) Mission Control Center (MCC). KBR develops and sustains ground software for the International Space Station (ISS) and space vehicles that visit the ISS such as the Boeing Starliner, SpaceX Dragon, and the Sierra Nevada Dream Chaser.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Software design, coding, testing, documentation, and user support after the release of the software
  • C and C++ programming knowledge
  • UNIX or Linux Operating System experience
  • Work in a team environment
  • Support and assist team members when necessary
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Will report to DB Engineering Administrative Manager
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Support project and team meetings
  • Provide project status to team lead
Experience Requirements:
  • Up to 5 years of related experience
  • Experience with C and C++
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Successful candidates must be able to apply for and successfully receive and maintain security clearance per eligibility requirements.
Preferred Experience:
  • Java knowledge is a plus
  • Object Oriented programming knowledge is a plus
  • Software development using Agile practices is a plus          
Educational Requirements:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or similar fields
