Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Technology, the Enterprise Architect will own the technical and architectural decisions enterprise wide, helping create an agile design by pushing technology development teams for simplification and challenging technical constraints and procedures. You will help the development team solve their biggest technology problems and help identify the best path for the enterprise. Your role will place you as an executor as well as the visionary force behind the technical solutions. You will be responsible for planning and developing the architectural runway in collaboration with the engineering and business leaders. You will also champion the (ISC)2 employee culture and foster the organization's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion goals.

Responsibilities
    Collaborate with stakeholders to design the overall technological architecture of the platform with the help of the engineering and leadership teams.
  • Guide Agile teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automation of deployment
  • Lead technical design and infrastructure / environments strategy, including deployments, ensuring that these are kept in-line with an MVP mindset of 'emerging architecture'
  • Work with the development team to help empower and provide the right tools to deliver sprint goals
  • Mentor the technical team, specifically with code quality when needed
  • Identify and remove technical impediments
  • Work with the Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
  • Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Provide the teams a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
  • Share responsibility with Product Owner for building reusable and scalable components Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures. Keep current with impactful technology trends and issues. Advise, counsel, and educate stake holders and (ISC) as to emergent situations which could or should impact the (ISC) technology road map.
  • Support an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion; serve as a role model to promote DEI best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (Master's Degree preferred but not required)
  • Seen as an expert within the technical components of the front-end web, mobile experiences, and back-end microservices
  • 5+ years of architecture experience with an emphasis on:
  • System design, development, and systems integration
  • ERP, CRM and AMS migration/implementation
  • eCommerce (including member/online experience and marketing automation)
  • Seasoned technical lead with deep insight into the newest technology trends in mobile, web and back-end microservices
  • Extensive experience with 5 years Agile infrastructure, environments, and deployment strategies / technologies to drive efficient working practices and DevOps
  • Can make architecture decisions at a team and product level, across front-end web, mobile experiences, and back-end microservices
  • Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units - experienced with various stakeholders across commercial, operational, and corporate architecture
  • Agile/Digital Experience
  • Experience in Agile Development as a developer, Tech Lead (or similar) preferred
  • Understands relationship between Product Owner, Scrum Master, and rest of the team, with a keen sense of design thinking
  • Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog
  • Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions
  • Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the team's potential
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • High energy and passionate individual who inspires teammates
