Job Description

Vierbicher has an opening in our Madison, WI office location for a Project Engineer with an interest site development or municipal infrastructure design experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Completing due diligence and site investigation
  • Site and infrastructure design including street plans (plan & profile, cross sections, etc.), grading and erosion control plans, storm water management facilities, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems and storm sewer systems
  • Quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Preparation of specifications
  • Preparation of permit applications
  • Construction administration and observation
  • Assist in development of plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE (Professional Engineer) in the State of Wisconsin
  • Previous intern or co-op experience
  • 1-2 years of civil engineering experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools
  • Ability to work well independently or on a team
  • Knowledge of construction activities
