ASSISTANT TEACHER:

Manville School, a highly successful and reputable educational program, is seeking Assistant Teachers in Grades 4-6 and Grades 7-8 for the current school year. As a member of a three-person, multidisciplinary classroom team, the Assistant Teacher plans lessons and carries out curriculum instruction, tailored to meet students' specific learning needs/behavioral profiles. Actively participate in academic instruction and classroom management, while learning and applying effective evidence-based behavior management techniques. Partake in exceptional training and receive mentoring by an experienced Educational Supervisor and a Mentor Special Education Teacher, both of whom ensure the Assistant Teacher is highly successful! Participate in weekly meetings with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, while engaging in professional development opportunities that will prepare you to work in a school setting as a special education teacher or mental health professional.

  • Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field, and experience with special needs students/children (preferably in a classroom setting)?
  • Do you have strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills?
  • Are you eager to gain additional teaching experience while learning and growing professionally?
