The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Prescott, Arizona campus is hiring a Part-Time Postal Clerk to support the Mailroom team. This position is 20 hours a week, 4 days a week, 5 hours a day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Receive, process, and distribute all University incoming/outgoing shipments and mail while providing courteous and professional service to all faculty, staff, and students.Current students are not eligible to apply for this position, please look for student employment through the student site.

  • Helping customers mail and ship items by determining the best method of shipment based on their needs and provide price quotes for outgoing packages.
  • Helping customers with purchasing stamps and envelopes.
  • Assist customers with special service requests and international mailing requirements before mailing items.
  • Assisting customers in person, by phone and email.
  • Process metered mail and shipping requests.
  • Process, organize, sort, and distribute packages and mail for students, staff, and faculty.
  • Comply with all FedEx and USPS regulations and requirements.
  • Reconcile daily sales, stamp, and envelope inventory, run various closing reports.
  • Train in all aspects of the office to cover when needed including supervising and training student employees, opening, and closing procedures for the office.

Qualifications
  • Applicant must have a high school diploma or general education degree.

  • Previous postal and shipping service experience preferred.

  • Valid Arizona driver's license with no moving violations required.

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver minimumof 50 pounds.
