The Opportunity

Marvell Coherent DSP solutions have been driving explosive growth in fiber optic networks with key technical innovations that increase speed, reduce OSNR requirements, and reduce power at the same time. The current generation of products enable 400 Gbps communications per lambda and development is ongoing for 800 Gbps products. Along with a diverse set of fast-growing product lines, Marvell technology is powering the next-generation network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full program execution for silicon, system, and software at all stages from definition, planning, development, early bring up, delivery to customers, validation, qualification, and transition to mass production.
  • Work at matrix organization with hundreds of engineers in multiple cross-functional teams in several geographic locations.
  • Work closely with development and test teams in the chip, package, board, FW, API, analog, digital, and optical areas. Also work with marketing, customers, customer support, sales, product engineering, test engineering, packaging, quality, planning, and finance.
  • Drive internal execution to meet or exceed schedule, system performance, quality, and cost goals for all key tasks and customer milestones throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Plan, execute, track, identify risks, mitigate risks, ensure problems are effectively escalated and crisis management activated, as needed. Help set priorities and identify areas where additional focus is needed.
  • Run weekly cross-functional team meetings to assess status, milestones, and completeness of plans. Provide regular program updates to Marvell Executive stakeholders
  • Help identify resource and equipment needs and track allocation. Provide information as needed for budgeting and for ROI analysis.
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department and within other business units as well.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company's objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience. Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.

  • 7+ years in an advanced management role (preference given to those with program management experience)
  • Good understanding of digital communications, digital, analog, software, and firmware technologies as well as chip design, manufacturing, test, and qualification.
  • Strong focus on process driven development and continuous improvement. Support Marvell's Program Management Process
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be very thorough and detail oriented
  • Excellent risks identification, analysis and problem-solving abilities
