Role Snapshot

This role will reside within the Financial Planning and Analysis team and support activities related to pricing for WPS' new and existing government contracts. This position can be hired as remote or hybrid; however, occasional travel to the Madison offices may be required.

Our team is seeking a highly capable Pricing Analyst who is looking to develop their finance and presentation skills while gaining knowledge in government contracting. The role will be challenging yet fun, and you will gain skills and experience that can be leveraged over the rest of your career.

In this role you will:

  • Work within the FP&A team and collaboratively with operational teams to support WPS' government contracting activities:
    • Build financial pricing models for projected staffing and cost build-ups
    • Support pricing of government directed change orders
    • Assemble various analyses to assist with proposal developments
    • Support leaders during contract negotiations
    • Gather historical data to develop Forward Pricing Rates
    • Analyze WPS' operational wage rates for price adjustments
    • Present results of analyses and provide recommendations to project teams and leadership
  • Strive for efficiencies in data analysis and improving or automating processes
  • Partner with leaders of increasing seniority, including Executive leaders, as well as provide training and guidance as appropriate
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support executive decision making

Minimum Qualifications- Pricing Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
  • Relevant and/or relatable experience in financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or WPS approval for an accommodation (government contracting mandate).

Minimum Qualifications-Senior Pricing Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience
  • 2 or more years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or WPS approval for an accommodation.

We strongly prefer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Government Contracting - FAR, CAS.
  • Deltek Cost Accounting system knowledge.

Senior Pricing Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4 or more years of related experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of BI/Forecasting Tools (Cognos/Power BI/Adaptive Insights).
