Software Engineer, Data Ingestion (Remote)

As a growing company, we are looking for a software engineer with an interest in process automation to help us build the underlying tools and architecture to scale our healthcare data pipelines. Our software tools are used by others within the company to support our ETL pipelines for ingestion healthcare data. As a hands-on software engineer on the Data Ingestion team, you will enable your coworkers to deliver amazing functionality to our customers.
You will:
    • Help create software that improves healthcare across the country
    • Develop and deliver functionality that meets technical and product requirements
    • Participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle
    • Collaborate with members across the organization to improve our products and services
    • Advocate for engineering best practices throughout the organization
We are looking for people who have:
    • 2+ years of software engineering experience
    • Professional experience in Python, Java, or other JVM-based technologies
    • Professional experience using relational SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
    • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins)
    • Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure)
You may also have:
    • Professional experience securely building and deploying RESTful APIs
    • Experience with orchestration engines (Apache Nifi, Kakfa)
    • Prior HL7/FHIR or general healthcare experience (research or clinical)
