The Motor Vehicle Operator:

This is a permenent 10mo position where summers are off.

• Transport equipment, supplies, medication and all documents between Montefiore School Health Program including BIS, Purchasing, Cashier, Warehouse, and MMG locations
• Maintain and inspect vehicle. May transport staff between sites and work related destinations
• Provide facility support services

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 3 years work experience
• Motor vehicle safety standards and effective communication skills
• Understand traffic laws and regulations applicable to the working environment
• Ability to read and interpret road maps in order to plan trips and determine traffic routes
• Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to motor vehicles
• Ability to routinely lift and/or move heavy objects
• Ability and willingness to travel in a motorized vehicle for extended periods under varying and adverse traffic and weather conditions
• Ability to travel throughout the Bronx and work within NYC DOE public schools
