Job Description

Attractive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision - available day one! We are now hiring a Mold Set Up Tech in our Molding Department, $22-$28/hr. based on experience. This position is primarily responsible for setting up, starting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining injection molds and related equipment by performing the following duties: Keeps all molds in proper working order including:
  • Cleaning molds
  • Assembling
  • Repairing
  • Reassembling
  • Applying proper lubrication.
Takes inventory and maintains stock on all mold components. Performs mold changes when available. Documents all mold repairs, mold locations, and planned repairs. Sets up injection molds and related equipment for sample and production runs. Troubleshoots and corrects problem processes. Documents daily events in technician log. Monitors cycle times and part quality. Documents and records cycle information for future use. Adheres to cleanliness standards and product safety guidelines, including machine cleaning assignments. Inspects molds to identify the cause of quality issues or defects. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Forklift and Overhead Crane Certifications
COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Spreadsheet Software (Excel) and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook). SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT: Forklift, Die Grinders, Bench Grinders, Hydraulic Press, Calipers, Injection Molding Machines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
