Director of Revenue Operations (ROPS)

The Director of Revenue Operations is responsible for the strategic planning, operational improvement, and management of the Contracted Collections function for DaVita, a Fortune 500 healthcare company with annual revenue of $13B. This can be a remote role and will lead a team tasked with ensuring timely and successful follow-up and resolution of unpaid or underpaid contracted claims with the objective of maximizing cash yield for the business while identifying and executing on opportunities to do things better.

Position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, retention, hiring, professional development, performance review, succession planning, disciplinary action, and termination for all direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Revenue Operations will lead Contracted Collections teams to root cause and resolve denials, underpayments, payor disputes, and internal process opportunities. The Director will provide day-to-day direction and oversight of a large Collections function to ensure ongoing operations excellence while also providing longer-term strategic direction to the Collections teams and the overall Revenue Cycle function in our mission to be World Class Patient Advocates and Revenue Partners. The Director will work closely with leadership of other Revenue Cycle functions to identify and execute on opportunities to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the DaVita revenue cycle as a whole.

Portfolio will include, but not be limited to: oversight and continuous improvement for DaVita's collections processes and outcomes, utilization of robotic process automation and artificial intelligence, collections workflow and optimized work allocation, cross-functional exception identification and resolution, short- and long-term goal setting, long-term productivity roadmap, and building and maintaining a strong culture that emphasizes compliance, continuous improvement, operations excellence, teamwork, and belonging. While the Director will not be accountable for IT systems, the role will collaborate closely with IT partners to ensure systems continuously improve to meet business and compliance objectives.

The Director will be accountable for hundreds of millions of dollars of accounts receivable and roughly 100 teammates in our Contracted Collections lane across two locations (our Malvern, PA and Brentwood, TN business offices). While travel is not required, demonstrated team leadership skills, ability to perform and drive accountability to key metrics, and ability to set a vision are key to success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration (MBA or MHA) preferred
  • Significant experience in healthcare revenue cycle, including direct team leadership, with either a provider or payor preferred

Compensation:

$120,000 - $160,000/year + annual bonus
