Job Description
The intern will work in Tenneco's Human Resources department and be involved in several ongoing HR functions and initiatives, including: recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR data analysis and training coordination. The HR Intern will attend and participate in all HR staff meetings and "shadow" HR professionals in their meetings with managers and staff.
- Market positions on social media and various job posting websites.
- Manage assigned positions utilizing Tenneco's applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Screen and interview candidates for positions within the various business groups.
- Schedule phone and office interviews; conduct phone interviews as required.
- Manage the new hire onboarding process.
- Conduct internet research and reporting on workplace topics.
- Perform ad-hoc troubleshooting and administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist with new hire orientations and file new hire paperwork.
Required Skills
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Strong multi-tasking ability
- Must possess presentation, strong communication and excellent organization skills
- Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve real-time issues
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines when required
- Prior applicant tracking system (ATS) experience preferred
Required Experience
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business
