Job Description
Position Summary:

Manage all Planthuman resources,as well as applicable state and federal laws in a union manufacturing environment. Collaborate, train and coach facility managers and hourly employees on a variety of HR-related topics and processesin a LEAN manufacturing setting. Establish and maintain effective relationships with Plant management, hourly employees and union leadership.

Essential Job Functions:
  • As a member of the Plant's leadership team establish and maintain effective and collaborative communication with management staff and union membership.
  • Manages day-to-day administration ofthe collective bargaining agreement and participates in labor negotiations.
  • Supports a centralized payroll and benefits administration for hourly population and performs as a Plant resources for benefits administration and communication.
  • Manages legal aspects of employment law including, but not limited to, EEOC, FMLA, NLRA, Worker's Compensation and internal investigations.
  • Site HR leader that provides advice and counsel to plant management in areas of investigations, corrective action and other HR or employee relations topics.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions, personnel files and Plant procedures and policies.
  • Manage recruiting process for Plant positions.
  • Collaborate, develop and implement continuous improvementsusing LEAN tools such as Waste Elimination Improvement forms (WEI's).
