Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships for optimizing business levels transacted with Correspondent Banks and advising the Bank on any events occurring within correspondent network, which might impact the Bank's business and service delivery. Identify, negotiate and oversee contracts with C-level contacts with program bank partners.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish, Manage and promote effective relationships with senior executive level contacts at Correspondent Banks to facilitate transference of excess bank deposits through a custodial accounts.
  • Develop, promote and support growth of the bank business through correspondent relationships;
  • Ensure compliance to Bank Operational Policies and Program Standards for Deposit Transference
  • Collaborate with Bank Treasury, Legal, Operations and Compliance Teams to drive execution of commitments made to correspondent banking partners and bank regulators;
  • Monitor customer performance through regular review of accounts, customer visits and financial statements analysis;
  • Negotiate and oversee contracts with correspondent banks. Maintain understanding of bank and correspondent bank liquidity needs for deposit placement.
  • Interact with executive level leaders and treasury functional leaders at correspondent banks.
  • Develop and drive overall correspondent banking strategy and collaborate internally to marry correspondent banking strategy to bank overall strategy.

  • Strong financial acumen and solid understanding of bank balance sheet management
  • Experience working in global business environment;
  • Keep up-to-date with financial and industry developments;
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines and other relevant local legislation;
  • Ability to make decisions and be solution driven;
  • Strong understanding of various financial markets.
  • Good communication and listening skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Very good command of Microsoft tools.
  • Contract negotiations skills for large and complex contracts

Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years banking or finance experience
