Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with over 4,000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is seeking a Senior Client Employee Benefits Advisor reporting to the Director of Specialist Timekeepers and the Employee Benefits Practice Group. This position will be responsible for working closely with our lawyers and clients on all matters relating to our clients' employee benefit plans and programs and can sit in any of the following Morgan Lewis offices: Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh or Los Angeles. This is not an internal human resources position.

Responsibilities:
* Reviewing statutory, regulatory and other governmental pronouncements to assess the impact on clients' employee benefit plans;
* Preparing and amending employee benefit plans to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and to implement plan design changes;
* Preparing and revising summary plan descriptions and other employee communications;
* Advising clients on how to resolve compliance issues and other technical matters that arise in the day-to-day administration of their employee benefit plans and programs;
* Assessing impact of corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.) on clients' employee benefit plans;
* Preparing IRS determination letter requests and other governmental filings;
* Conducting internal benefit compliance audits of client benefit plans, policies and practices.
Experience and Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years relevant experience as a member of a benefits consulting team, client service team or a law firm team in the employee benefits practice area;
* Experience with both retirement and health and welfare employee benefit plans desired, and CEBS certification preferred;
* Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills;
* The ability to work as a part of a client service team and independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
