Nokia Technologies is licensing Nokia intellectual property, including patents, technologies, and the Nokia brand, building on Nokia's continued innovation and decades of R&D leadership in technologies deployed in virtually all connected devices used today. Come join us and make an impact!

As a Senior Manager, Licensing / Litigation you will have a global responsibility of supporting Nokia's cellular standard essential patent licensing, litigation preparation and litigation activities. Job will include holistic liability of all patent related matters including infringement, essentiality and validity.

You will be part of a team consisting of seasoned experts having at least 15-20 years of experience from legal and/or technical side. Duties will also require close co-operation with in-house litigation team that has been awarded as . You will also frequently discuss with members of extremely experienced in-house licensing team.

Outside Nokia you will be able to work daily with exceptional individuals that have been awarded as best in business.

What you will learn and contribute to

Are you passionate about solving problems?
You will be part of a team handling the following:

  • patent licensing activities
    • participating to technical negotiations with licensees
  • patent litigation preparation and litigation activities
    • evaluating new cases
    • preparing new cases for litigation
    • managing work and reviewing work results of external counsels
    • managing litigation activities
  • managing licensing and litigation related patents in front of the EPO and other patent offices together with in-house prosecution team and external counsels
Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Profound understanding of 3GPP radio technologies
  • European Patent Attorney, Chinese patent attorney or US patent attorney/agent
  • MsC or PhD in information technologies

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Previous experience from patent litigation and/or licensing is considered an advantage
  • A fluent English speaker and writer
  • Excellent communication skills

Pre-COVID19, job has required some willingness to travel. Extent of travel, when it can be resumed, can be agreed separately.
