Position Summary: Performs a variety of duties to support departmental function. Transports patients to and from the department, performs housekeeping duties as assigned, assists OR team as requested and/or indicated, runs assigned errands, and performs as ancillary support to OR staff.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

* Licensure/Certification/Registration:

o Nursing Assistant Certification desirable.

o BCLS

* Experience:

o Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or Orderly preferred.

* Special Qualifications:

o Maintains skill level and learns new procedures as necessary

o Basic skills essential to protect health and safety of self and patient

o Ability to push patient stretchers

o Skillful enough to do scrubbing, mopping, and damp dusting.

o Ability to communicate clearly in English. Understands written and oral communication in English.
