Job Summary:
The Occupational Health & Safety clinic supports a large portfolio of entities (both public and private), including but not limited to the Dept of Transportation, Dept of Safety/first responders, and the Sheriffs Dept, in areas such as:
~ Scheduling Covid vaccines
~ Pre-employment physicals
~ Hazmat
~ Worker's Compensation
~ Contract employment
Under minimal supervision, the Patient Access Specialist is responsible for the collection of comprehensive demographic and insurance information required for facilitating timely and accurate billing of patients in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment, utilizing established protocols and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:
Associates Degree or Medical Assistant Certification, preferred.
Experience:
Two years of customer service, professional clerical or healthcare experience required.
Certificates, Licenses and Registration:
Health Care Access Associates Certificate preferred.
