Our Roanoke, VA, Charlotte, NC or Blue Bell, PA office is currently seeking a successful candidate having a NCIDQ Certification and either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design from an accredited University. Experience in a professional office environment with minimum of 8+ years is preferred. Experience should include work on commercial, institutional and residential projects encompassing health care, senior living, higher education, and/or multi-family; renovation experience would be a plus.

The position requires performance of all aspects of interior design as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
  • Must be comfortable in presenting to clients, with notable positive interactions, and be able to navigate the decision-making process with a large group.
  • Must have vision and ability to design three-dimensionally - accounting for all aspects of design and in coordination with other disciplines to create a unique and inspired environment.
  • Excellent communication/collaboration skills with internal team members, vendors, and clients.
  • Generate and develop overall interior design concepts, formulates design presentation.
  • Possess knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of schematic design through construction drawings; and ability to produce construction documents, write project specifications and has experience with construction administration.
  • Leads/coordinates selection of interior finishes/material.
  • Manages Interior Design process for entire project duration, consistent with project's program, budget, and schedule; and work with PMs to manage internal budgets for the interior design team.
  • Must have extensive experience in the creation of FF&E specifications resulting in an RFP for Bidding and strong ability to manage both procurement and installation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Extensive experience with SketchUp, Revit and/or AutoCad. SketchUp. Knowledge of Newforma, Enscape and/or Lumion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking, and prioritization of assigned tasks.
  • Must demonstrate positive coordination and collaboration with a multi-discipline project team.
  • Supported by Leadership to maintain firm's design excellence standards, financial viability, and quality service.
  • Participates in marketing efforts and presentations with potential clients.
  • Must be willing to travel via ground and air as project needs require, both locally and nationally.
