What you'll be doing...

This internship position - which is part of the Verizon Campus Program - will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You'll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within Verizon's Marketing Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

In this role, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Support the User Experience (UX) Research team lead, and participate in research activities.
  • Support user research for the business to business Learn and Shop experiences.
  • Evaluate the end-to-end UX research process, gaining practical experience in impacting product decisions through user research.
  • Use Verizon data and custom research to shape strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make recommendations on best-in-class marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare and report on findings and recommendations for various audiences.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

The compensation range for this position is between $22-29/hour. The salary will vary depending on your role and class year.

You'll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in a Master's or PhD program in Human-Computer Interaction, Applied Psychology, Human Factors, or related major with an expected completion date between December 2022 and June 2023.
  • Four or more years of experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Applied Psychology, Human Factors or related fields.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Denver, CO.

Even better if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience with leveraging research, data analytics, and brand insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data discovered in scoping research studies.
  • Developed research plans and executed user research.
  • Knowledge of different research methodologies, including when and how to apply them during product development.
  • Experience applying user research from conducted studies.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to maintain deadlines consistently.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in school, project work, or extra-curricular activities or clubs.
  • Commitment to excellence, anticipating issues and communicating with tact and diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation.
