Responsible for the protection of life and property; prevention of crime; apprehension of criminals; and provide enforcement of laws and ordinances. Depending on staffing needs Deputies will be assigned to the Jail Division or the Patrol Division and may be required to serve at least 1 year before becoming eligible to apply for transfer to other assignments.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
-Possess a High School Diploma or GED
-Must currently be P.O.S.T. Certified
-Must be at least 21 years of age
-Possess a valid Colorado Drivers' License
-Must have vision correctable to 20/40
