Job Description
Administrative
Hourly

The Corporate Payroll Administrator is responsible is responsible for partnering with the Operations to pay our employees efficiently and accurately.

Works under general supervision; relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job; some level of discretion or judgment is required.


  • Performs tasks to establish and maintain employee / payroll records.
  • Checking and auditing timekeeping and attendance records for compliance with established standards
  • Calculates wage and overtime payments.
  • Calculates and records payroll deductions.
  • Review & audit payroll output such as registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out of balance conditions.
  • Provide front line system support for the time and attendance system.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot payroll issues with the plant.
  • Enters employee information into the payroll system.
  • Prepares various reports and maintains files as required.
  • Assists Plant Administrators with various requests.
  • Manage various projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required

Knowledge Required

  • Minimum of high school graduate; bachelor's degree in business, or related area is preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience in payroll administration
  • Proficiency in the use of computer and business related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of ADP HR/Payroll and Empower HR/Payroll systems preferred

Skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking; ability to speak, read and understand Spanish is a plus
  • Proficiency in payroll calculations
  • Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone and email with plant administrators and co-workers
  • Ability to use various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc)
  • Ability to work hours mandated by management
  • Ability to pass a drug test
