Overall Purpose:

Supports the Streetlighting Team in providing industry leading service to customers seeking new, innovative solutions for street lighting and unmetered services. Will assist with the team's upcoming smart streetlight deployment project to track and document the deployment of smart devices across the company's streetlighting assets, enabling two-way communication and remote capabilities such as outage/failure notification, dimming, and work management.

  • Assist Streetlight Associates with daily duties to include, but not limited to:
    • Engaging with local municipalities to identify and address streetlight or unmetered service concerns
    • Review existing work orders for accuracy in areas such as of status, labor, and materials applied.
    • Support the development of processes and/or procedures specific to streetlighting and unmetered services.
  • Analyze inventory and prepare necessary reporting of lighting fixtures and smart nodes to achieve the following:
    • Develop / refine ordering and delivery processes to ensure materials are available to support business needs
    • Assist with forecasting future years material delivery needs.
    • Develop failure forecasting model across all inventory items.
  • Review discrepancies between street light installation data and escalate to have corrections made.
  • Review and update training materials used by streetlight technicians in the following areas:
    • Use of (Mobile Computing Platform) MCP
    • Use of Streetlight Vision and SLV:GO mobile app
    • Physical replacement of a streetlight fixture

Education/Experience:

Applicants should be interested in pursuing a career in engineering, with a preference towards electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering. Candidates must have completed their sophomore year of studies.

Skills/Abilities:

Experience managing programs and/or projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organization and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. Must have a passion for uplifting and supporting community needs.

Physical Requirements:

Work location is primarilyremote due to COVID-19 measures, but ability to be on-site may be required based on business needs.

Other:
