Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the design and preparation of facilities layouts. CAD Designers work closely with the Project Managers to make sure that these tasks are done accurately and efficiently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and preparation of facilities layouts including:

• Organization and preparation of construction CAD drawings for distribution, warehouse and manufacturing buildings, office layouts, site development, grading plans, and utilities

• Work with materials handling systems including: conveyor, pallet rack storage systems, machinery & equipment layout
• Distribute blue prints
• Assist Team Members in resolving design problems as they arise
• Work independently to produce high qualify results
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills & Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a drafting related field
• Experience using AutoCAD
• Must be self-motivated and energetic
• Goal-oriented
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally & written
• Construction experience is a plus
