$20.50 - $21.50 / hour

The Technician II is responsible for assisting in the relocation process by physically and professionally disconnecting and reconnecting workstation PCs, peripherals and related hardware. The Technician II is assigned to work at different customer account locations to provide technical support for commercial moving projects. Responsible for ensuring customer requests relating to Technical support are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. The work schedule is part-time, hours will vary. Reliable transportation is required for this position.

Position Responsibilities
  • Disconnect and reconnect PCs and other peripheral electronic desktop components per supervisor's direction and the specific job requirements.
  • Record basic system information on PC Disconnect/Reconnect Checklist such as serial numbers, manufacturer, model numbers and placement.
  • Possess the ability and willingness to assist the moving crews if needed.
  • May be required to set, offset, push, pull, lift, carry and move computer equipment, furniture, miscellaneous equipment and boxes as required.
  • Ensure a professional manner and appearance in provided Corotech uniform.
  • Interact with customers to report any technical issues and matters in a professional manner.
  • Provide helpdesk-level workstation troubleshooting support.
  • Perform the Technical I level key responsibilities.
  • Install basic customer requested software, application and system.
  • Assist in the support of the customer's server room or lab room if assigned.
  • Provide advanced workstation trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of network cable tracing and connect and reconnect IT inventories.
  • Quickly respond to any of technical requests from customers.
  • Escalate any technical issues to Technician III or Corotech Manager if needed.
  • All other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or college degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • 1 year Tech Support experience
  • Computer hardware, cables, connections and basic software experience
Other Requirements
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to do electronics troubleshooting, analyzing information, provide solution and good judgment in making decisions
  • Exceptional client/customer service skills, equipment maintenance, ability to report work related issues to management, must maintain confidentiality, quality focus, results driven, supply management, ability to multitask, attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills
  • Good communication skill, ability to provide guidance and instructions to team members, ability to explain the solutions to customers
  • Familiar with the office & installation move process and understand the move labeling and directional signage is preferred
  • Good understanding of server equipment.
Pay & Benefits

Pay depending on experience ranges from Min: $20.50 - $21.50/hour DOE

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Depending on the assignment, employee may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations, or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of computer equipment, tools of 10-50 pounds. Employee requires to have good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
