Opportunity Overview:

In this position, the CISE System Administrator can expect to setup, configure, and maintain both our internal develop and test systems as well as customer systems being assembled at our facilities. The individual in this position will support several groups within the Control and Information Systems Engineering department that develop industrial control systems, plant computers and training simulators for nuclear power plants. The ideal candidate should have an appreciation for cyber security best practices and broad capabilities in general information technology and networking. This is an entry level position but offers significant growth potential in a variety of different career paths including cyber security, IT, and industrial control systems.

What your day-to-day looks like:

An ideal candidate for this position would be extremely organized and detailed oriented with a proven ability to balance competing priorities. The candidate will provide both routine and emergent support to multiple projects as it relates to their systems. Candidates in this position will be responsible for loading, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of platforms used to support industrial control systems. Support extracting data for preparing software releases is also likely to be required.

On a consistent basis, the CISE System Administrator will:

  • Load newly released software and related patches onto development and test systems
  • Respond to service requests for adding/removing users and updating permissions
  • Maintain asset lists and system configuration related information including software and hardware details
  • Ensure systems remain in compliance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Perform preventative maintenance to support proper system operation
  • Troubleshoot and correct issues identified by end users
  • Configure both internal systems and customer deliverable systems
  • Perform system administration, network configuration, and virtual environment management

Up to 20% travel could occur in support of customer systems.

What we'd like to see from you:

Education:

Technical Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer) or Computer Science, Information Sciences and Technology, Cyber Security or similar/related.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Ability to be granted 10 CFR 73.56 Trustworthy and Reliable clearance;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience (engineering, administration, and security of IT/OT);
  • Experience performing requirements management or security audit/assessments;
  • Experience with common PLC, Scada, DCS platforms (i.e. Emerson Ovation);
  • Experience working in an industrial Operational Technology Environment;
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques;
  • Knowledge in areas such as network design, Windows Domain setup expertise, security and group policy setup;
  • Experience troubleshooting system integration issues, and working with cyber security, network, and virtualization technologies is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial environments or industrial control systems a plus.
