Our Kansas group office is seeking to hire an entry-level technologist to provide support with bridge inspection and construction inspection. The ideal candidate will confidently produce detailed documentation and will possess excellent coordination and follow-up skills.

• Review applicable construction standards, regulations and contract requirements necessary for the completion of assigned tasks
• Coordinate design and layout with applicable code requirements
• Assist with design calculations
• Record and organize progress files, email correspondence, design alterations, and project statuses
• Print, plot, and scan various project plans and drawing data
• Perform field construction observation, sometimes requiring out-of-town travel

• High school diploma/GED required; Associate's degree or technical diploma preferred
• Experience in the engineering field; drafting and construction experience is a plus
• Industry training or certifications is a plus
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of construction methods and fundamentals
• Basic understanding of engineering principles & practices, project scheduling & deadlines, and good communication skills
• Good driving record and valid driver's license
• Ability to work outside on foot for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in hazardous environments while wearing personal protective equipment
• Willingness to travel to project sites, sometimes out-of-town
