Job Description

Metron is hiring a Systems Administrator and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to provide support of information systems and end users at our office in San Diego, CA. This role additionally works with our corporate IT and Cybersecurity Teams in supporting enterprise policies, helpdesk, and remote user support across the company. The ideal candidate will be performing varying degrees of problem determination, root cause analysis and resolution of IT, IS, domain, server, desktop, hardware and software problems. The selected individual will be responsible for making effective use of available technical resources and providing helpdesk/desktop support to our employees both on-site and remotely. The individual work with the Cyber team in supporting system assessment and authorization processes under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and continued ConMon activities.

Responsibilities:

    Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for monitoring and responding to Cybersecurity continuous monitoring requirements (SIEM, Log review, validation of security controls, etc
  • Perform onsite or remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software
  • Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to end user workstations, including the installation these upgrades (for example memory)
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems
  • Accurately document and maintain ATO documentation including standard operating procedure development, artifact creation, submission of artifacts to ISSM and/or government representatives
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations
  • Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal
  • Interface with third-party support and equipment vendors as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4 years of systems administration experience
  • At least 1 year of ISSO experience
  • Microsoft Server and Desktop operating system build and troubleshooting experience
  • Problem solving and time management capabilities
  • Experience working in an Active Directory environment
  • Excellent customer relations and customer support skills
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, global, collaborative environment
  • Currently hold a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • US Citizenship required; successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with desktop virtualization (e.g. VMWare) preferred
  • Linux system build and troubleshooting experience
  • eMass experience preferred
  • Currently hold a TS security clearance
