Job Description

Intermediate/Advanced:

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory in Idaho has an excellent opportunity available as a Construction Project Management Analyst (PA) for an individual passionate about project management and being part of an organization that practices sound project management principles in fulfilling the mission of the Nation's Nuclear Navy!

Provides project management support to new and existing projects and programs. Areas supported will include project planning and scheduling, resource management, budgeting and cost control, measuring project performance, risk management, coordination and integration of project team efforts, and communication with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Actively supporting new and existing projects and processes.

  • Developing and maintaining integrated resource loaded project schedules.

  • Identifying and resolving resource conflicts.

  • Applying experience to support similar projects and processes to new projects or programs.

  • Aiding in determining priorities of project deliverables and working to assign resources in support of those priorities.

  • Preparing, monitoring, analyzing, and controlling budget, cost, and manpower estimates and actuals for projects or integrated programs supported.

  • Supporting management of program performance by developing and reporting metrics, assessing recommended change control requests and processing if approved, and coordinating the development of periodic performance assessments.

  • Developing and managing the risk management plan, reporting status of risk, and recommending mitigation strategies.

  • Developing components of the Project/Program Management Plan.

  • Coordinating, supporting, and potentially facilitating project/process meetings.

  • Assessing project or program performance and recommending resources or skills needed to supplement project core team.

  • Supporting the preparation of and may present portions of periodic reviews with management and stakeholders.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Intermediate:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year relevant experience

Advanced:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience
Preferred Skills
  • Developing and maintaining resource-loaded projectschedules, integrating project schedule detail from construction subcontractor submittalswith internal Integrated Project Team activities to ensure project can be effectively managed, analyzed, monitored, and controlledfrom project initiation through closeout

  • Preparing and analyzing budget, cost,workforce estimates,accruals,and actual costsfor projects or integrated programs supported

  • Developing and supporting performance and reporting metrics, and recommended change control requests

  • Coordinating the development of periodic performance assessments

  • Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and Access

  • A degree in an engineering, business, engineering technology, or construction management discipline.

  • Experience with project management, production operations, construction projects, and/or production support operations.

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) or other professional project management certification

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communicationskills

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
