Production Software Engineer I

Entry Level/ Junior Professional

Job Description

As a Production Software Engineer I on the Direct Care Support Team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing basic technical coding issues submitted by internal or external clients. You will own, debug and document basic investigations and resolution of issues within code base using varied technical techniques, including modifying existing software code. You will perform root cause analysis, help identify problems areas, make recommendation to development teams, create code based queries and development testing tools and develop knowledge of assigned solution, technologies development processes and ecosystem. You will also communicate with internal and external clients and teams on issues resolution, consult with clients to understand problems and requests for additional information. We are looking for motivated candidates with excellent communication skills and experience using Java, MySQL, and Linux.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract, you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience using Java, MySQL, and Linux
Expectations
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
