Job Description
Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a PRN Massage Therapist for our Carpenter's Union on-site health center in Kansas City, MO! This health center has a proactive, educative approach where employees and their dependents are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.
As the PRN Massage Therapist, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic massage services as a part of an integrated care team, focusing on treatment of musculoskeletal complaints and conditions. You will use therapeutic massages to treat areas of systemic discomfort and other musculoskeletal or neurological issues that can occur from acute or chronic conditions and select the appropriate massage techniques for the member's symptoms or condition. You will also leverage the latest massage trends and techniques and collaborate with other care team members to define and implement medically appropriate treatment plans, while providing education to members on a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and the benefits of therapeutic massage. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
At least 4 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
2 years of direct patient or member care work experience
2 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of this job
Basic Life Support Certification
Licensed as a Massage Therapist - state of MO
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Health Care related field
National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
Expectations
Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Must live in or near the Kansas City, MO area
