WVRC is a Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital with 24 hour service! We have three hospital locations: Waukesha, Racine and Grafton.

Cardiology Veterinary Technician:

Our Technician Trainer has developed an individual training program for our new Vet Techs & Assistants!

This is a 1st shift position that requires three days in our Cardiology Department and one day in our Emergency Department in a work week.

This is a fast-paced, highly technical environment, in our busy Emergency and Specialty Services.
A qualified applicant will be expected to perform the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Admit Cardiology patients
• Assist with client communication and client education - both in hospital and on the phone
• Monitor and treat Cardiology patients in the hospital
• Assist with procedures - pericardiocentesis / thoracocentesis / ultrasounds
• Perform blood draws
• Place Holter monitors / Event monitors
• Assist with echocardiograms
• Perform EKGs
• Perform blood pressures
• Perform x-rays
• Dispensing / administering medication
• Perform clerical duties including faxing, scanning, copying, e-mail
• Log incoming / outgoing rads for Cardiology
• Maintain Ultrasound Logics
• Assist in other WVRC Departments when time allows
