Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking an Electrical Tester for its Alamo, TN location. This role is responsible for performing routine mechanical/electrical installation, repairs, parts replacement and preventative maintenance on production and processing equipment.

• Quantity based on complexity of equipment to be replaced, removed, remodified, or repaired.
• Equipment or machinery should perform according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Well-illuminated working area that is clean and free of dirt and debris, dry surroundings with all safety precautions in place.
• Standard issue tools, electric meters, drill press, sanders, reamers, power saw, power fork lift, welding equipment, miscellaneous power and hand tools.
• Normal supervision on verbal basis on work load schedule.

• High school graduate or GED plus must be a graduate of a recognized 2-year electrical/electronics trade school, with a certificate or electronics training such as may be obtained in the Armed Services.
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the United States.
• Meters, starters, switches, conduit fittings, coils, relays, timers, wire, tubing, pipes, elbow joints, various metals.
• Guide or direct on set-up operation of equipment.
• Training on new equipment and new processes; continued safety training
• Must have good mechanical skills and should be able to communicate with others.
