Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

This is an exciting time to join Prysmian North America as we work to increase the brand awareness and our role in the energy transformation to renewable sources. We have a lot of engaging stories to share, and we are looking for someone to tell them. The Marketing Communications Manager will discover these stories and determine the best platform to share them, whether in the media or in marketing materials. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, we are looking for a self-starter who will own this position and help make Prysmian an identifiable name across North America.

What You'll Do Related to the Energy Businesses

  • Develop a thoughtful narrative, key messaging and materials that align with the external communications and marketing strategies for our energy businesses.
  • Coordinate the PR/media relations activities, collaborating with our external agency, to identify newsworthy stories, press releases, thought leadership opportunities and media interviews.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to discover our customer, product and internal stories and turn them into compelling content that enhances Prysmian's brand.
  • Write, edit, and oversee production of assets and collateral (brochures, web content, infographics, videos), working with our marketing team, Business Units, and external agencies.
  • Monitor media activity and prepare regular reports on the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proactive and positive approach, high energy level and drive to get results. Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken), including the ability to understand technical concepts and turn them into meaningful marketing materials.
  • Superior knowledge of integrated business-to-business communication strategies (digital marketing, video, case studies, webinars, thought leadership content, print, and events).
  • Experience executing successful communications and marketing strategies, with the ability to keep track of multiple priorities and steps, adhering to deadlines and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage external agencies and engage with media. Understanding of AP Style and news writing style.
  • Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation software, Data Asset Management System, Product Information Management System, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software is a plus.
  • 7 or more years of experience in journalism, marketing, communications, or a similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA or master's degree a plus).
