POSITION SUMMARY

The Stakeholder Engagement Specialist (SES) coordinates the IHSI stakeholder engagement process, including recruitment of internal and external stakeholder reviewers and scheduling/processing of stakeholder reviews. The SES identifies and vets potential expert stakeholders and establishes and maintains professional relationships with key medical experts across the world to ensure sufficient and appropriate expert input into the IHSI horizon scanning process and final quality review of IHSI High Impact Reports. The SES coordinates efforts closely with the IHSI Operations Manager and the Science Team Lead and Analysts.

Essential Functions Statements(s)

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholder peer review process for reports selected for review
  • Identify and recruit qualified internal and external stakeholder reviewers (primarily physicians, but when appropriate, nurses, researchers, health systems professionals, patients, and caregivers)
  • Schedule and send review assignments
  • Process completed reviews; and follow up with stakeholder reviewers as needed
  • Maintain stakeholder contact database
  • Coordinate efforts with the Science Team Lead and Analysts to ensure adequate and appropriate stakeholder review of topic profiles and final quality review of High Impact Reports
  • Work with Science Team Lead and Analysts to perform ongoing audits of all stakeholder input to ensure that all quality standards are being met
  • Provide the IHSI Operations Manager with periodic (at least monthly) reports of all stakeholder activities
  • Under supervision by the IHSI Operations Manager, develop procedures, policies, correspondence documents, and assignment schedules for internal and external stakeholder review process
  • In coordination with the Helpdesk, provide ongoing support to medical expert stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Accountability Metrics:

  • Ensure adequate and appropriate stakeholder engagement for all topic profiles and High Impact Reports
  • Client and stakeholder satisfaction with engagement and review process and ongoing support

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 3 or more years of recent experience in customer service/support and/or client management via email and phone in a healthcare or research setting
  • Working knowledge of U.S. and European healthcare systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
  • Must be a well-organized self-starter and proficient multi-tasker
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint essential
  • Knowledge of healthcare horizon scanning and/or healthcare technology forecasting a plus

Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or medical science or related degree with relevant experience

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office 2007+; knowledge of database design and management helpful; working understanding of data science helpful
