Job Description

Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator



Reports to:EHSManager
Location: St. Louis,MO

Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:

  • Performs accident management activities, including injury management, investigations and associated record keeping.

  • Identifies, implements, and tracks corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Performs site audits and create audits to spot check compliance and conformance to the propermanagement system.

  • Assessrisk and makerecommendations to control hazards.

  • Maintain hazardous waste and satellite accumulation area inspection logs.

  • Be compliant withDOTand RCRA training to manage and ship hazardous waste.

  • Maintainsapplicable environmental and hazardous materialspermits.

  • Identify and addresssite Environmental, Health, and Safetyissues and employee concerns via the Committees.

  • Developand provide training regardingEnvironment Health and Safety procedures and policies to all companymanagement, and employees.

  • Assistswith creating, preparing, and documenting drills as well as updating corrective actions resulting from found gaps.

  • Additionaladministrative needs for the department and facility.

  • Assistsin developingappropriate emergencyplans and response capabilities.

  • Staysabreastof new government regulations, as well as new developments in industry (best practices).

  • Member of first responder program (includes emergency response and chemical spill control).

  • Make recommendations for plant processing improvements as related to health, safety, the environment, and productivity.

  • Assistwith required compliance reporting.

  • Audit Environmental, Health, and Safetydocuments for completion.

  • Maintain and track unsafe acts, conditions, and near misses.

  • Become trained as an internal auditor inISO9001, 14001 and 45001.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or its equivalent. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in another applicable field will be considered withappropriate experience.(Work experience will be considered).

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001

  • ASP,OSHA30 hour, OHST or TSP are a plus.

  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.

  • Ability to be on call for site emergencies after hours.

  • Available to respond to emergencies during off-hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
