What you will learn and contribute to
Nokia Software NAM Digital Operations delivery team is responsible for the implementation of all the product & solutions from NSW Digital Operations portfolio comprising Fulfilment/Orchestration and Assurance products across all operators in USA and Canada. As CSPs evolve their networks to Cloud and 5G, their Operations processes and toolset must be modernized in order to capture the new potential B2B and IoT business while keeping their complex networks under control. Digital Operations products enables CSPs in evolving their operations to better serve and align to the business needs. The network is built and dimensioned according to the services being introduced in the market at a fast pace.
Nokia Digital Operations NAM team is seeking for a senior Solution Architects or Subject Matter Experts in area of Mobile Communication (4G-5G, radio and core), Access Technologies and OSS domain, to work on the following Nokia solutions/products: Nokia Orchestration Centre, Nokia Assurance Centre, Unified Inventory, FlowOne, Cloudband Network director (CBND). It's expected that candidate has a good knowledge on TMF Framework & TOGAF. The successful candidate will be responsible for end to end design & development of all technical matters related to the Digital Operations ( DO) projects and execution of DO projects towards customer. The field of operation includes customer interfacing , solutioning and delivery activities.
Take ownership and accountability of customer-specific deliveries and provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, problem resolution for critical / complex issues
Create and maintain end-to-end architecture artifacts including but not limited to, High Level design, interface design document, process design document, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams and data models across the OSS ecosystem.
Deliver clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Develops the full scope of the solution, working across organizations to achieve workable solutions
Design & support Development of workflows/streams, installation, & solution testing.
High interaction with the customer's key stakeholders and Nokia project team.
Estimate services effort, hardware estimations and see through the delivery of a solution.
Act as a trusted advisor partnering with the customer on its strategy positioning & end-to-end architecture on multiple domains.
Guide other engineers and architects in project related matters.
Your skills and experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent required, Candidates with Bachelors in Computer Science/ Electronics and Communications will be more relevant, Masters is a plus
At least 8 years of experience in OSS domain.
Solid background in the area of Networks, namely:
Access and Core Network architecture in 4G/5G Mobile technologies.
Access technologies such as xDSL or FTTx and core network technologies such as IP/MPLS
Familiarity with 3GPP specifications concepts. Thorough understanding of OSS Domain.
Several years of relevant work experience in OSS Solution Architecture
Experience in leading / being part of complex OSS Transformation/IT Simplification program for CSPs in the capacity of Solution Architect
Good understanding of telecom network management (FCAPS)
Strong hands on in at least one of the areas of OSS domain- Inventory, Provisioning/Activation, Order Management and Fault/Performance management etc.
An excellent knowledge of operator's fulfilment & assurance processes and link to operator's end-to-end business processes
Solid experience in as-is/to-be architecture planning, solution scoping and design in OSS domain
Prior experience in designing or implementing integration projects with various network management and/or Trouble Ticketing tools over standard interfaces (SNMP/ CORBA / XML/ SOAP, etc)
Domain certifications - eTOM, TMForum, TOGAF, ITIL - would be an added advantage
Good knowledge of virtualization concepts (NFV) associated to the telco domain
Knowledge of IT concepts associated with the deployment of modern networks:
Containerization concepts (micro-services architecture, Kubernetes container management).
Knowledge of Cloudband or VMware will be an additional asset.
Knowledge and /or prior experience in at least one of the technologies like 5G Slicing, Fixed Wireless Access, SDWAN is preferable.
It would be nice if you also had
Very good communication skills, presentation skills to customers. It shall be possible to influence and consult customer on area of expertise.
