A-4 Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of micrometers, scales, gauges, and blueprint reading required.
  • Operate using blueprints, layout card and worksheets.
  • Have complete knowledge of sharpening and repairing tools.
  • Some knowledge of feeds and speeds required.
  • Changeover, adjust and perform a broad range of operations on all machinery on a wide variety of parts, following standard procedures.
  • Follow Setup Person's instructions, maintain setups, and produce quality and quantity work.
  • Assist in keeping machines in first-class operating condition.
  • Keep machine, tools, attachments, and work area clean and orderly.
  • Routine maintenance to be performed by the operator.

GP-5 Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of blueprints, layout sheets, surface finishes, and various inspection procedures and practices as well as the ability to hold to extremely close tolerances is required.
  • Understand and practice proper tool dressing, speeds, and feeds to meet maximum performance.
  • Responsible for supplying and maintaining personal tools in order to efficiently perform required tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining and operating a broad range of equipment including presses, reamers, and honing machines; through feed, in-feed, cylindrical, surface, and double disc grinders.
  • Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot assigned equipment to safely perform Company and customer's expectations.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to keep equipment in optimum operating condition.
  • Perform a variety of operations within the group to maintain flow and quality of work.
  • Inform Supervisor of any unusual difficulties that require attention.
  • Keep equipment, machines, tools, fixtures, and work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform routine maintenance as required.


PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN M-5 / L / UTILITY Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Must be capable of reading blueprints and using scales, micrometers, and to gauge work to close tolerances.
  • Complete knowledge of bar stock and tubing required.
  • Follow detailed instructions; judgment required in cutting, filling of requisitions, storing and piling stock; accumulating orders, delivering material to manufacturing department; complete knowledge of bar stock and tubing required.
  • Routine maintenance to be performed by the operator.
  • Assist on setups, working under setup man's instructions.
  • Maintain setups, replace tooling, changeover and sharpening tools, drills and taps and care for broaches.
  • Use judgment in clamping work to avoid distortion and in selection of speeds and feed to suit work.
  • Inform Supervisor of any unusual difficulties.
  • Keep machine, tools, fixtures, and work area clean and orderly.
  • Sweep floor; keep place clean; remove all waste so as not to create a fire hazard.

Desired Skills for Success:

  • Experience reading Blueprints.
  • The ideal candidate will have a related certificate or schooling and/or 2 - 3 years' experience.
  • Knowledge ofscales, micrometers, and gauges
  • Detail orientated and exercise precise judgment.
  • Willingness to learn from and be part of a team.
  • Conscientious about keeping work area clean and organized.
