Job Responsibilities: | |||||||||||||
This position is set aside through the State with individuals with disabilities. Documentation of disability will be required.
Performs a wide variety of janitorial and custodial tasks in contracted public buildings ensuring quality standards are met. A. Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks to include, but not be limited to: sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, dusting, emptying and cleaning ash trays, restroom cleaning and floor maintenance such as stripping and waxing, etc.
B. Ensures that equipment used in the performance of all duties is maintained in a clean and operable condition. Reports any problems with equipment to Custodial Project Manager in a timely manner.
C. Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Project Manager to include, but not be limited to: snow removal, grass cutting, etc.
D. Performs all duties in a safe manner and adheres to all safety rules, guidelines and practices. |

Job Qualifications: | |||||||||||||
No formal education required.
Familiar with general janitorial procedures for cleaning public buildings.
Must have the ability to call Custodial Project Manager at least one hour prior to start of each shift to report absence.
Must be available and flexible to work on a seven day schedule.
