Mechanics Bank Auto Finance is seeking their next Risk Analyst I. to join their team at their Irvine office.

Provides reporting and basic analytics on origination and/or portfolio performance. May be called upon to do other analytics or data queries as experience warrants. Will be expected to interface with other team members and business partners to deliver information or results of analysis.
What you will be doing:
Run and review departmental reporting. Provide feedback to manager or other business partners on emerging trends.
Working with the Risk Manager or other partners, modify existing reporting to create new reports or other analytics
Utilize/modify existing SQL code to query the Data Warehouse and summarize data to business partners or other Risk team members
Partner with manager, more senior Risk Analysts or business SMEs to develop analytical approaches or solutions to business questions
Self-development: Utilize both informal and formal sources (training courses, business partner) to develop technical skills, analytical skills and an understanding of the auto business and industry.
Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related degree is highly preferred.
0-3 years of experience.
Familiarity with numbers and data; basic math operations
Familiarity with Microsoft Office package or similar; fluency in Excel and/or PowerPoint a plus
Past programming experience preferred
Detail oriented.
Proven analytical skills.
