Job Description

SUMMARY The Associate Sales Engineer is an integrated part of the Revenue team and will provide pre-sales technical support to sales, clients, and back-office support teams as a field technical liaison. They will apply their analytical and sales skills to a more technical role supporting our sales team with growing the BullsEye brand. This position will promote growth and sustainability through the use of technical and industry knowledge to create content and formulate product/solution strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Others duties may be assigned.

  • Assists in the achievement of 100% and above of company’s sales targets. Helps uncover prospect’s key pain points and strategizes how to paint a powerful picture of BullsEye’s value based on that discovery.
  • Contributes to team success by partnering with Sales and Sales Engineers to articulate the overall BullsEye value proposition, vision, and strategy to prospective clients.
  • Works with prospective clients and technology partners to understand their technical objectives and help answer questions and concerns.
  • Operates in an organized and analytical fashion, and eliminates sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches. Translates and explains highly complex technical information to prospects.  
  • Partners with Sales Engineers for product and technical presentations of the BullsEye solution. Assists in the development and delivery of product demonstrations. Evangelizes new product features & works with the product team on feedback from prospects and clients.
  • Assists with the product and technical integration discussions of the BullsEye solution.
  • Supports the development of training materials to elevate the technical product knowledge of internal colleagues (i.e. Sales) through training and tech talk.
  • Assists in the technical, product, and functional response areas of RFP/RFI/RFQ requests.
  • Collaborates with colleagues in marketing activities related to shows, seminars and conferences.
  • Day and overnight travel required by air and/or automobile.

Must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university in CIS/Telephony, telecommunications management, electrical or computer engineering or related field; 1-3 years of successful professional sales engineering experience in the telecom industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational skills and efficient computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.  Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to details, while being sensitive to customer needs and business issues.
