Position Preview: The CAD Drafter/Designer creates Computer Aided Design (CAD) layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams for designer projects using 2D and 3D design. In this role, the CAD Drafter/Designer will help collaborative design team members capture ideas, inspire innovation, and streamline processes. By providing end-to-end solutions, the Drafter/Designer utilizes 2020 and other software to be more efficient, integrated, and productive. The CAD Drafter/Designers main focus is to assist the design team by creating the presentation packet, the installation packets to provide technical information, and revise designs for kitchen, bathroom and office projects. Key Responsibilities Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs. Creates customer presentation and the installation packets, making revisions as needed. Creates and revises production drawings (i.e., detail and assembly drawings, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used). Draws finished designs from sketches and designer notes. Periodically meet with designer and customers for design collaboration and possible revisions.Meets with designers to translate customer design needs to 2020 design layouts. Inspires the imagination of clients with customer presentation packets that accelerate decision-making and order placement. Provides Designers with technical information, as needed. Answers designers' questions regarding technical aspects of the project design.Seeks knowledge to stay informed of new software, product lines, and services. Routinely develops skills in related areas of expertise.
